[He arrived an hour early before the promised time despite spending all night reading on manuals about what to do on dates. He's learned from his past experiences and made sure the books he got had some credibility. So now he's wearing something comfortable and less formal. Just a simple brown coat, beige dress shirt, light brown slacks, and clean cut loafers.]

[He's also holding a small present which he keeps inside his pants pocket for later. No flowers, nothing too big. He wouldn't want to give too much of an impression. No, never again. Hopefully, this time it would go well without any misunderstandings.]

[He doesn't really see anything in him that counts as partner quality. He isn't as suave with women as Italy is.]

[He follows her pull towards their destination, still wondering about his question.]

[ She's trying to be light about this, even asking with a bit of a laugh as she looks on at the slow moving river fish lazing about in their tank. He has several wonderful qualities about him. How can he not see them? ]

[It doesn't count if it wasn't on purpose! He can't claim something he did by accident.]

Maybe someone like France or Italy or Spain...? I always see you with them, besides your brothers. Your smile is always big when they're all around.

[He never really spent time thinking what was so good about him. He was much too busy working and well, suffering from a long lasting guilt.]

[The sound of the river is relaxing, but there are a few people idly chatting and taking pictures. His ears twitch when he hears a couple giggle and laugh.]

[ She stops for a moment, her grip slackening a little. France, Italy and Spain? Well, they're some of her best friends... practically family. But she can't help but stop and ponder those feelings. France-- he's has had so much influence on her and her culture, half of her people speak HIS language. France is practically another brother so of course he knows how to make her smile purposely or not.

Italy. Both of them. Brothers by blood and close friends of her's. Romano more so than Italy. But both are special to her. They cook together, drink together, dance and play together. She practically helped RAISE Romano. Needless to say they have a very special relationship that can only be matched by the other half of that coin.

Spain... The moment she thinks of him her heart clenches a little and she really does fall silent. What can she even say about someone like Spain. ]

W-Well, I...

[ She hears the couple giggle as well, glancing up just in time to see them steal a kiss in the dark before they walk off together, arms around each other. She blushes and glances down at the plaques with all the information on the different fish. ]

It's hard to explain.

[He catches her blush before she lowers her head. He saw them too. And turns his head to look at the view in front of him.]

I see. We can always talk about something else.

[So that's how it was..., he realizes. He'd read it in romance novels before. This kind of situation. He's not sure what the best approach is, but it would be for the best not to pry.]

[ She looks up at him, feeling guilty now. She didn't mean to have that kind of reaction. She also wasn't expecting that topic to come up. Spain... isn't so much a sour spot as it is a bruise that makes her crumble when poked. ]

I-It's alright. It's just... hard to explain like I said. I'd just rather not burden you with something like that while we're out having fun.

[ She isn't even sure how she would explain someone like Spain to him to begin with. But it does make her ponder it. Why Germany over Spain? ]

Let's just continue with our date.

[Why Germany indeed? But it seems she has other reasons for going out with him. It makes him a bit sad to know that, but she seems determined to make it a good time for the both of them. He wants her to experience that too.]

[ Well damn. Suck it up, girl. Now's not the time to be mopey over something that isn't important anyway. Germany is right here with her now and she needs to make sure he knows that she wants it that way. ]

Do you like piranhas?

They have a notorious reputation but other accidents such as drowning occur more frequently than a piranha attack.

It's because of false media representation that they are often misunderstood. They eat more snails and fruit than actual meat.

[He can sympathize with them, in a way.]

I find them interesting.

[ She looks over at him as he goes on about them, giving him a curious look. ]

Did you just read that from the plaque or did you just know that?

[He researched long and hard overnight so he can have small talk with her about anything.]

You like them even though they're not cute or even safe? What do you like about them?

[This is a surprise. She mentioned a lot of 'cute' marine animals, but piranhas don't exactly fall into this category, do they?]

[ Haha did he? If she knew she would never stop teasing him about it. ]

Well, isn't that normally how it goes? If something were cute and safe it would get boring very quickly, wouldn't it? I'd think it's the ones that are different and dangerous that are the most interesting. Besides, I like the challenge of understanding the misunderstood.

It seems there's a lot I still don't know about you but I'm interested in finding out.

[There's a tone in his voice that sounds eager, kind of like when he's discovering a new alternative source of green energy.]

[ Classifying types isn't something she's fond of. She's always known that being go much deeper than that. She gets the hint of eagerness and she smiles a little smile, sweet and friendly. She turns her back on the piranhas, leaning back against the rail keeping the crowds from the glass. ]

[ She asks lightly and openly, as if she's an open book willing to give answers. ]

[Considering he has manuals on how to understand so and so nation, he's not the brightest when it comes to reading books that aren't actually books.]
